How to Reset Cisco Jabber
- Locate and click on the gear in the top right-hand corner of the Cisco Jabber Window.
- If you are currently logged into Cisco Jabber, Choose "Sign out" - otherwise, proceed to step 3. - DO NOT EXIT CISCO JABBER.
- Click the Gear in the top right-hand corner of the Cisco Jabber window and choose "File".
- Depending on your version of Jabber, there may be a "Reset Jabber" link about 3/4 of the way down the window - you can alternatively click that link instead of going through step 3.
- Select "Reset Cisco Jabber". Confirm that you wish to reset, then wait a couple seconds for that process to complete.
- When the Jabber login page reloads, enter your username if that field is blank. On some occasions, you may have to enter your full email address, however normally, you need only enter the firstname.lastname portion.,
- NOTE: Entering your FULL email address as your username (including the domain "@westerntractor.ca", will automatically launch the Jabber reset process.
- Enter your password using the same password that you use to log into your computer.
- You may be asked to verify one or more certificates. If you are, answer all of them in the affirmative until they stop and Jabber opens.
- If resetting Jabber fails, it may be necessary to reset or unlock your Active Directory account. It may also be necessary to reset your domain password either manually or by forcing it to expire on your next log in. Contact IT for assistance
